Minutes: Mayor Louis Sanders called the August 28, 2025, Village of Attica Council regular meeting to order at 7:30PM.

Roll Call: Ed Beamer, Nicole Lenhart, Jim Gray, Keith Hopple, Kirk Stanfield  

Others Present: Maintenance Supervisor Scott 

Absent: Owen Best

Approval of Warrants: Motion by Councilwoman Lenhart to approve the warrants for payment, seconded by Councilman Gray. Vote: 5-0 Motion carried.

Approval of Minutes: Motion by Councilman Beamer to approve 8/14/25 regular meeting minutes, seconded by Councilwoman Lenhart. Vote: 5-0, Motion carried. 

Written & Oral Communication: Resident Roxie Bates brought to the attention of council trees near Liberty Street that need trimmed and removed. Village Administrator Shock noted he had been in communication with Resident Chuck Thompson regarding tree trimming and removal in town, he expects to have an update shortly. 

Public Safety: None

Streets & Properties: Village Administrator Shock provided an update on the village hall roof repair and replacement, the contractor expects to have the project completed by mid-September. 

Parks: None

Trees: Discussed in Oral Communication

Fire: 12 total calls responded to in July with 5 calls being within the Village.

EMS: None

Cemetery: None

Personnel: None

Zoning Commission: None

Finance and rule: Fiscal Officer noted cash balance of $925K. 

Water & Sewer: None

Train Derailment: None

Unfinished, Old Business and New Business:  Mayor Sanders provided calendar updates moving the regular council meeting scheduled for Thanksgiving to Monday Nov 24th, 2025 as well as moving the regular council meeting scheduled for Christmas to Monday Dec 22nd, 2025.

Next meeting: Regular meeting on Thursday, September 11th at 7:30 PM.
